Dr. Gene Reichenfeld attends the 2005 KAF!

We were all pleasantly surprised this year when the festival's own founder, Dr. Gene Reichenfeld, showed up to revisit the festival he founded 49 years ago. At 95 years old, the soft-spoken conductor was given a warm reception, and accepted an invitation to address the crowd. During his address, he urged those in attendance to do whatever they can to make sure his legacy lives on, in the interest of promoting the arts and music.
